Orbital Distance
Orbital Distance
(2026 – in progress)
Like two orbits that come close and then drift apart in the vastness of space, perhaps two people are not meant to remain together forever. During a partial solar eclipse, the Sun and the Moon reach an almost perfect alignment: for a moment, one body obscures the other, like two people who seem to merge into a single presence. During a lunar eclipse, however, the same bodies find themselves on opposite sides of the Earth: they remain aligned, but separated by a distance that can no longer be bridged. Between these two phenomena lies the journey of a relationship: first, the greatest closeness, then separation. The same alignment that once brought them together becomes what reveals the distance.
