Orbital Distance

Orbital Distance uses the geometry of a partial solar eclipse to describe the ending of a relationship. During a partial solar eclipse, the Sun and the Moon reach an almost perfect alignment: for a moment, one body obscures the other, and the two appear to merge into a single presence. Then the alignment breaks, and each returns to its own path, carrying no trace of the other. Two orbits, never meant to remain aligned, briefly united and separated by the same motion that crossed them in the infinity of space.
